Stage three is so pretty! Before you look around, there is a new type of fairy maid in front of you. This is a yellow fairy maid. It blows bubbles! Cute, but the bubbles hurt, so don’t go playing in them. There are small bubbles and big bubbles. Only the big ones hurt you. You can also destroy the bubbles by attacking them. Go down the stairs and through the hallways past the yellow door. It looks like you’re in a basement part of the library now. So much for a pretty stage. There is a new type of yokai that runs very quickly, so make sure to get rid of them or they become bothersome. Continue right. Two rooms over is a room with both a vending machine and a save phone. Use them and then go two rooms over to the right again. In this room is a warp zone. It might be good to use this warp zone now. Go back to stage one.
In the stage one guide I mentioned a secret room that you couldn’t get to yet. It is in the long area that led to the sliding knife. You can now get the status up item in that room using double jump. After you get that, warp to stage two. Go from the room with purple fairy maids to the first large room in the stage. It’s the room with the path to stage three that you just came from. The chandelier on top will fall, but only if you get on top of the highest platform on the left and glide under the chandelier. Stop time when it begins to fall, then get on the platforms again and jump over to the chandelier. There is a Time Gauge Up that was behind the chandelier. If you stopped time fast enough, you should be able to step onto the chandelier and jump up to get it. If not, that is okay because there is an item in stage three that can make this easier. In the same stage near the place you found the double jump knife, there should also be a secret room I mentioned in stage two similar to the room stage one how you couldn’t get the item at the time. You can get this with double jump.
Warp back to stage three. Go back to the room in the left and then to the upper left hallway. Go left again. A few rooms over is a room that looks like part of the library again. I guess the basement part was only a secret tunnel. There is a platform in here that goes up. This platform has a green aura. This is a new aura that means the platform will only move when time is stopped. Get on the lower platform, stop time, then start time when you get to the top. Then pause time and wait until the blade in the stairs is in a position where you can get through it. Do the same for the next space. At the very top of this room are two of another new yokai. They play drums, but the music notes turn into red mist. You can use Auto Aim to quickly get rid of them.
This next room can be very tricky. Get past the drum players, then go down. This is a winding hallway with spinning blades at each drop, each with a different aura. Getting past the blades is simpler once the yokai around them are dealt with. For this first blade, it is easy to just drop down. It doesn’t have an aura. Wait until the blade is flat like the floor, preferably slightly lower on the other side, and jump over. You can glide if you feel like you’re falling too fast and going to hit the blade. Once you get to the next part of the hall, the aura is green. The yokai in front of you have the green aura. They are more trouble trying to go back up this room than down. Since time isn’t stopped, you can just get rid of them and they won’t move. Pause time and do the same thing as the last blade with this green one. You could also wait until it’s standing straight up, start time again, jump down, and then pause time for the blade to rotate out of your way. There is a drum player here, but similar to the last hall, it is more bothersome when you come back up through the hall. The next and final aura is purple. You can do the exact same thing you did with the first blade here. If the yokai on the bottom get too close, Auto Aim can get rid of them.
You made it! Go to the next room. There are yokai with green auras here. You’re supposed to do something fancy with a time stop and the platform that revolves around the long wall in the middle, but there is an easier way. Walk over to the other side of the wall and stand in the open space. The platform is going to try to get through this. Once it comes close, jump out of the space and then double jump. The platform should be under your feet by the time you land and carry you to the top. Once at the top you should see some stairs to jump to.
In the next room there is a very large yokai resembling Frankenstein’s monster. Get past it and get the item in the middle. It is a grip knife. You can now jump on the knives you throw while time is stopped. As long as your Time gauge is full and you have a good number of knives you can throw while time is stopped, you can build your own platforms and get to high places easily. Try using this ability to get to the top left room. The save phone and vending machine are there. Now you can go all the way back to the room that was in between the warp zone and the room with the vending machine and save phone.
Before you get to the room, you will need to pass by the hall with blades again. You can use Auto Aim to get rid of any yokai. It works on the yokai in the section of the hall above you, which is very important. You’re always going to want to get rid of them. To go up a section with the blade in the way, stand in the open area that you will jump in. Wait until the blade almost touches you on the bottom and then jump. Go the direction of the above platform in midair and you should land there. Find a way to do this for each varying aura in a way similar to how you came down. If you leave yokai on the above platforms, they can push you off the platform and into the blade.
Once you’re past the blade hallway, there is a room above it. Use knives to climb up there. It looks empty, but there is a secret room to the left. Past another yokai, there is a Time Guage Up. Get that and go back to the main room. Start heading back to the room near the warp zone again.
Now that you’re back, you can use the save phone and vending machine. Once you’ve done that go back to the right and up to the top right hallway. Past the drum players, you can now use knives to get up from the lower platform to the stairs at the top. Before you go, there should be a secret room to the right. Up at the top are yellow fairy maids. Just make sure your Time gauge is full before heading to the next room.
Stop time before you go right. Once in the room there are a lot of statues and a center with yokai and drum players. You may notice that you collect graze points from the statues. This is because if time weren’t paused, the statues would move and start attacking once you got close. When you get to the center, throw a lot of knives at the drum players and then start time. Quickly pause time again once they are destroyed and continue walking through the other side with the statues.
Into the next room! There are three huge yokai here. Wait… Three!? That’s a lot to get past! Luckily, Nitori shows up through the window. It seems she happened to be collecting jewels in the same area. Using her mech, she fires high damage lasers at them and destroys them all. She lands while taking all the jewels she earned and steps out of the mech.
“Nitori again… You’re always working hard to collect jewels… I’ve been wondering for a while, but what do you plan on doing with all those jewels?”
“These jewels are crystalized MP. Possessing them will improve your powers.”
“Huh…? Wait a second. That’s the first I’ve heard of that.”
“Huh? What? Re-really? Maybe I forgot to tell you… You can check what power a jewel has on the shopping screen.”
“I see… But… If having the jewels improves my powers, isn’t it better not to sell them?”
“No… It’s better to sell them and buy items. It only improves your powers a little.”
“I think you just want to do business…”
“N-no! You’re wrong! Anyway, I’d appreciate it If you’d sell me lots of jewels!!” So that’s what Nitori wants all the jewels for! It seems like they only have a small effect, so it’s up to you whether you want to sell them or keep them for a slight increase in power. If you keep them, remember that checking Nitori’s shop can tell you what power each jewel has.
Keep going right. There should be a save phone in the next room. Go up through the tunnel and find the place with three yellow fairy maids. Once you get rid of them, there is a very important skill in a secret room to the right of
you. In it is Thousand Daggers. It throws exactly one thousand knives and gives you invulnerability while you use it. If you use it while time is not stopped, it attacks your enemy in a zigzag pattern similar to lightning. If you use it while time is stopped, all the knives will clump together in a large oval shape. It throws regular knives, so you can step on them while time is stopped. Although you can only throw a certain number of knives when time is stopped, Thousand Daggers is still useable while time is stopped because it just drains that entire number but still allows you to throw all the knives. This skill deals a lot of damage and is very useful with the invulnerability it grants.
Go left now. There should be a room with a pressure plate and a door in the middle of water. You can’t stop time to get past the door since it is in water, so wait on the pressure plate for the door to entirely open and then slow time to get past. The next room can be completed entirely by jumping and using the method where you throw knives to stay in the air longer. If this seems difficult, you can use the platforms instead. Get on one side of the first platform and stop time until there is a part of it through the water pouring down. Then you can stand on the other side of the water on the platform and keep going with time paused. You can crouch under the first red mist spot and jump over the next. The yokai can be easily defeated while time is moving because everything in this room has a green aura.
In the next room there are two large yokai. Jump over them and move to the other side of the room. You can use knives to jump onto the stair platform above. Get rid of the fairy maids with Auto Aim or Thousand Daggers. In the room to the right there are two fairy maids above a large yokai. If you defeat the fairy maids, you can ignore the other yokai and jump over it. Up the stairs is a large pool with walls that only have crawl spaces under them. The large yokai can’t climb up stairs so wait there until your Time gauge is refilled. Pause time and slide under the crawl spaces. If you do accidentally fall through the water, there are little steps on the left wall to climb back up and start over. On the other side there are yokai with a purple aura. If you just throw regular knives, they will back away.
When you get to the next room, there is a vending machine and a save phone. When you save, Sakuya receives an unexpected call from Hieda no Akyuu.
“That’s Akyuu’s voice… What’s wrong?”
“A powerful witch is waiting just beyond this point… It might be difficult with your powers sealed, but don’t give up.”
“Don’t worry, I can already handle my power of time.”
“You may not be able to stop time, but you can slow it down. If you use it well, you can win.”
“Listen to what I’m saying… I can already use my power to stop time.”
“…”
“I wonder what’s wrong…” Akyuu’s icon in the phone becomes pixelated.
“You don’t need to thank mE... This is… aLL… I can dO... oH HellO”
“Akyuu, why are you speaking so strangely?”
“No particular rEAson. I was TIRed so I was restING.” Akyuu seems to have broken when Sakuya mentioned she could use her power to stop time. This doesn’t make sense. Since Akyuu and Nitori are fakes created by Remilia, they would both know that the other existed, right? What a strange conversation. I guess you have no choice but to see who waits for you beyond the door.
